General terms and conditions
1. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
These general terms and conditions of sale (“Terms and Conditions”) apply to all orders and all sales transactions on the website https://www.vanreethpuurs.be (the “Online Shop”) relating to the products offered for sale on the website https://www.vanreethpuurs.be (the “Products”). The website is owned and operated by Oud Huis Van Reeth bvba, Hoogstraat 19, 2870 Puurs (Belgium), with company number BE 0434.501.008 (the “Seller”, “we” or “us”, as the case may be), acting as a seller of the Products.
Placing an order on www.vanreethpuurs.be implies full and unreserved acceptance of these general terms and conditions of sale. The Seller reserves the right to amend these General Terms and Conditions of Sale from time to time. Any amendments to the Terms and Conditions will only apply to orders placed on or after the date of amendment.
We recommend that you print or save a copy of the Terms and Conditions on your hard drive when you decide to place an order on www.vanreethpuurs.be.
2. PLACING AN ORDER ON
To place an order on www.vanreethpuurs.be, you must meet the following conditions:
– You have provided us with your name, address, e-mail address, payment details and other required information;
– You are at least 18 years old;
– If you paid by credit card, you must be the rightful owner or authorized holder of a valid payment card for the purchase of Products.
When you create a personal account, you must also create a personal username (your email address) and password. Please protect your password at all times and do not disclose it. You are responsible for all purchases made using your username and password.
Orders placed on www.vanreethpuurs.be have the following process:
– You choose the Products;
– You enter your payment details and choose a delivery address; – Authorization of payment;
– We will send you confirmation of receipt of the order by email as soon as payment has been processed;
– We collect the payment from your bank account;
– We ship the products;
– You will receive the products.
3. PROCESSING OF THE ORDER
Orders placed on www.vanreethpuurs.be are not binding on the Seller. They will only become binding on the Seller once the Seller has accepted your order. We have the right to reject your order for any reason.
Upon receipt of your order, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order with your order number and the details of the Products ordered. This confirmation of receipt does not imply that your order has been accepted. The acceptance of your order and the conclusion of the sales contract will take place if and when the ordered Products are shipped to you. After shipment of the Products, we reserve the right to cancel your order as long as you have not received the Products.
We have the right to refuse your order if:
– There was a technical or pricing error on the website www.vanreethpuurs.be at the time of ordering;
– The ordered Product is unavailable (in the event that the ordered Product is unavailable, we will notify you by email);
– The payment details provided are incorrect or not verifiable.
– Our security systems indicate that the order is abnormal or possibly fraudulent;
– We have reason to believe that the Buyer is under the age of 18.
If we refuse or cancel an order for any of the above reasons, we will – as the case may be – refund the price paid for the product and the shipping costs paid.
4. PRICES, DELIVERY AND PROCESSING COSTS AND TAXES
The prices mentioned on the website www.vanreethpuurs.be include VAT. They only apply to orders placed on the website www.vanreethpuurs.be.
Although we have composed the website www.vanreethpuurs.be with care, the prices shown may be incorrect. Any incorrect prices will be changed as soon as possible and are not binding for us.
The separate costs for delivery and processing and the applicable taxes will be stated at the time of ordering.
The delivery costs will be shown in the shopping cart. The relevant costs for deliveries to Belgium, the Netherlands, France (not the overseas territories). Luxembourg, Germany and the United Kingdom & Northern Ireland (not the Channel Islands) are listed below. For deliveries to other countries please contact us to receive the relevant shipping costs.

5. AVAILABILITY AND DELIVERY OF PRODUCTS
The Seller does not warrant that all Products are available on the www.vanreethpuurs.be website. Seller reserves the right at any time and without notice to change, remove or make unavailable for sale certain Products.
We will attempt to deliver the ordered Products on time. However, there may be circumstances in which we are unable to ship the Products on time and meet our stated delivery time. A delivery time quoted by us should therefore be considered a non-binding estimate and not an obligation to achieve the result of delivery of the Products on the estimated delivery date.
If you delay delivery or receipt of the Product(s) unreasonably long after we have notified you that we have attempted to deliver the Product(s) to you, or if you have provided an incorrect delivery address as a result of which the Product(s) have been returned to us after the first attempt at delivery, we will assume that you have exercised your right of withdrawal and will refund the price paid for the Product(s) in accordance with our return policy and applicable law.
6. PICTURES OF PRODUCTS ON
The presentation of the colors of the Products on this website depends, among other things, on the settings of your monitor and the graphic card of the website visitor. The presented colors may therefore differ from the actual colors of the Products.
For the settlement of online payments we work together with MOLLIE. We do not have access to the confidential payment data of our customers. Payment can only be made with authorized debit cards. The authorized cards are listed on the website www.vanreethpuurs.be. You must provide the card details when you place your order. The costs will be charged upon shipment of the ordered products. We will only ship the Products after the card issuer has authorized the use of the card to pay for the ordered Products.
8. FAULTY PRODUCT OR WRONG DELIVERY
Upon receipt, you must inspect the goods immediately. If you believe that the delivery is not in accordance with the request, do not sign the delivery note and/or clearly mention the problem on the courier’s receipt. Please notify us of the problem within 24 hours, stating your order number, via the following email email@example.com.
If you have purchased a Product for your personal use as a consumer and wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify our customer service within 14 days after delivery of the Product(s) concerned by e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) and submit a request for return. If our customer service team approves your request, they will email you instructions on how to return the Product(s). In the event that consumers exercise their right of withdrawal, they should return the goods at their own risk and expense to Oud Huis Van Reeth bvba, Hoogstraat 19-21, 2870 Puurs.
You also have the right to return Products purchased through the website www.vanreethpuurs.be if these Products are defective or non-conforming. In that case you must submit a request for return to our customer service as soon as possible after delivery (max. 3 days). If our customer service department approves your request, they will give you instructions by email on how to return the Product(s).
In any case, we will only approve return requests if the Product(s) are complete or have been used in any way (other than through reasonable wear and tear during examination), and the Product(s) are returned in their original packaging.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the Products remain safe and secure while in your care. Handle the Products with care and return them to the condition in which they were delivered to you. Make sure the Products are properly packaged. All perishable Products cannot be returned for hygienic reasons. Also for products made especially for the consumer, the right of withdrawal cannot be invoked.
Products can only be returned or replaced after we have received all Products to be returned.
In the event that you return Products that you
were not authorized to return,
that are no longer in their original state,
that are not properly packaged,
that are incomplete,
for which you have not paid for the delivery
or in connection with which you have not taken the necessary care to return the Products in good condition,
we reserve the right to refuse your return and to refuse the requested refund or to charge you for the cost of carrying out the necessary repairs, restocking or similar direct costs arising out of or in connection with the payments to be refunded to you (without prejudice to applicable legal provisions).
Refunds can only be made after all products have been returned to us in their original condition. If you choose to pay by debit card, we will transfer the refund to this account. All refunds will be made within 14 days of receipt of the returned Products.
11. CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR REASONABLE CONTROL
We will do whatever it takes to fulfill our obligations. However, we cannot be held liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations if it is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In the event of delay, we will perform as soon as reasonably possible.
These terms and conditions set forth the full extent of the Seller’s obligations and liability in relation to the supply of Products. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, there are no warranties, conditions or terms binding upon Seller except as expressly set forth in these Terms.
We shall not be liable in contract, tort, damages or otherwise for any economic loss (including, but not limited to, loss of income, profits and/or sales or anticipated savings), loss of data, loss of goodwill or damage to reputation, or any other indirect, unforeseeable, special or consequential loss or damage, however caused. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits your statutory rights and nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to limit or exclude liability for fraud or willful misconduct.
A term or part of a term of these Terms and Conditions that is unlawful or unenforceable may be separated from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining terms or parts of the term of these Terms and Conditions shall remain in effect.
