How is our coffee roasted?

All our raw coffees, often called ‘green coffee’ are pure Arabica from the best plantations of the coffee producing countries. We carefully select and purchase these green beans in the harbour of Antwerp. These green beans are from plantations from all over the world, each providing its own, specific flavour.

As these beans are roasted traditionally their characteristic taste is preserved. We have  roasted these beans with our original Probat machine since 1958. The entire process takes about thirty minutes under a temperature of 200 degrees. We verify manually whether the beans have reached their satisfactory roasting. Once cooled down, the beans are sifted to remove remaining impurities.

Finally, the coffee (beans or grinned) can be purchased in our store.

The result is fresh and aromatic coffee.
